Dr. Engus D.  Carter 

Dr. Engus D. Carter serves as the third pastor of Westminster Baptist Church, a church that has existed since 1963.  Over the past several years of his leadership, which began in July 2005, the church’s ministry has experienced a tremendous transformation as the church strives to be a fresh and relevant ministry to those seeking spiritual growth and development.  Aside from renovation and construction projects completed under his leadership, Pastor Carter re-located the congregation and re-launched the ministry in the south Kansas City, Mo/Grandview area in 2011. The church has been “Postured, Positioned, and Provisioned for Kingdom building.”
 
He is an excellent preacher and teacher with a passionate, energetic, & straightforward approach. He specializes in making biblical principles relatable and easy to understand.    

Aside from his ministerial gifts, Dr. Carter has over 20+ years of Business and Information Technology experience, having held management and leadership positions for such companies as Union Pacific Rail Road, Sprint Corporation, IBM Global Services, and the City of Kansas City, MO. He has earned distinction as an honored member of the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs.

In June 2010, he resigned as the Kansas City International Airport's Information Technology Director to focus on full-time Pastoral Ministry.

Dr. Carter completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University’s Theological Seminary and has recently earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty University's  Rawling School of Divinity, graduating with high distinction.

He is happily married to Lady Kimberly Carter, an accomplished finance and accounting professional. Lady Carter is very passionate about nurturing the lives of children and youth.  They are the proud parents of a college scholar, Brianna Carter,  who can often be found serving in the media ministry.

Dr. Carter seeks to exhibit a spirit of excellence in all he does, which is evident in his approach toward ministry. He can best be described as energetic, fun-loving, and caring. He’s sincere and committed to the building of God’s kingdom.
